who we are
boldhelvetica, it is first and foremost the story of Daniel and Mathieu, two colleagues who became friends after a dozen years spent working side by side and especially sharing coffee and crazy ideas during their breaks. Industrial designers for a multinational company specialized in medical technology, passionate about sports, mechanics and innovation, they have been trying for years to combine them, all the while adding a good measure of fun. With this in mind, boldhelvetica was born. The start-up seeks to offer happiness to those who use its products. This company is aimed at anyone who needs a slightly lunatic engineer (or two) to give life to niche projects, be it to spend hours
training on a cutting edge flight simulator or to adapt the bike of a growing child. Dissatisfied with the products or services offered on the market, Daniel and Mathieu set out to find ways to bridge the gap between amateur builds and industrial grade solutions in their free time. The products and parts created by boldhelvetica are robust, reliable and repairable. No planned obsolescence nonsense in sight! It is the desire to put the human being at the heart of our priorities that drives the start-up. Also, don’t be surprised if you meet the two friends testing their huge 3D printer, the first (essential) purchase of the company, or boxing a punching bags during their break.
Mathieu is the thoughtful element of the team. Mechanical designer like Daniel, he has his feet on the ground and is passionate about developing robust, reliable and solid parts. Qualities that he has put to good use for 14 years in a company specialized in medical technology.
Fundamentally positive in nature and with a slightly offbeat sense of humour, Mathieu likes to use his analytical mind to find simple solutions. Passionate about motor sports, Thai boxing, video games, 3D printing and alternative cinema, he forms an ideal and complementary duo with Daniel.
Personal motto: “Now is the time to show what you are made of! »
A mechanical designer, his CV has 24 years of professional experience in the aeronautics, watchmaking, medical technology and CERN’s design office. He is astonished by the original approaches he takes to find effective solutions.
Naturally enthusiastic and energetic, Daniel is a creative who is always looking for new things to do and who will lead him to thrills. He is particularly fond of motor sports, aeronautics, and survivalism, all of which make him more difficult to kill in short. The notions of ecology and sustainable development are essential for him.
Personal motto: “I haven’t been given any guarantees for my next lives, so I’m betting everything on this one! »
